Fulbright Master's Degree Program

Selection preference will be given to candidates who have not had extensive recent U.S. experience. Candidate will be considered without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, age, disability, political affiliation, martial status, status as a parent, or sexual orientation. Applications from qualified candidates beyond major cities on Java (e.g.: eastern Indonesia) are particularly welcome

GENERAL REQUIREMENTS:
  • Be an Indonesian citizen and not a permanent resident or citizen of the U.S., or be currently living in the U.S.
  • Possess leadership qualities and show experience in community service
  • A good understanding of Indonesian and international cultures
  • Have preparation in, and a demonstrated commitment to, her or his chosen field of study
  • Demonstrate that she/he can realistically accomplish full-time graduate study or conduct research in the United States
  • No to be an employee or a close family member or dependent of an employee of AMINEF, the U.S. Embassy, or the U.S. Department of State
  • Not be receiving another scholarship at the time of the Fulbright scholarship application
  • Not be intending to pursue another similar program for a double degree
  • Demonstrate a strong commitment to return to Indonesia upon completion of the Fulbright scholarship program
  • Be willing to work for his/her home institution for at least 5 yeard before retirement upon the completion of the scholarship program
The grant is to pursue a master's degree in the U/S/ for 1 - 2 years in any field except medical sciences.
Applicants should:
  1. Hold a Bachelor (S1) degree with a minimum GPA of 3.0 (4.00 scale)
  2. A minimum ITP TOEFL score of 550 or IELTS equivalent. Please note that TOEFL prediction or TOEFL-like score cannot be accepted.
DISCIPLINES
Fulbright grants may be used for study or research in most disciplines and fields of study with the exception of medicine related to patient care or clinical patient contact. Proposals in humanities, arts, and social sciences, and in science, technology, engineering, mathematics (STEM), and health are equally welcome. Applications in STEM fields are encouraged that focus on environmental preservation, alternative energy exploration, or climate change mitigation.

REQUIRED TESTS
At the time of application to AMINEF, only an Institutional Testing Program (ITP) TOEFL or IELTS score is required. If you are later selected for an award, you must then take the official iBT TOEFL test, the Graduate Record Examination (GRE) for all fields except law and business, or the Graduate Management Admission Test (GMAT) for business administration, finance, and accounting.

Beasiswa Magister dan Doktor LPDP


 

Sarjanamuda.com - Beasiswa Pendidikan Indonesia (BPI) Program Magister dan Doktoral adalah program beasiswa yang dibiayai oleh pemerintah Indonesia melalui pemanfaatan Dana Pengembangan Pendidikan Nasional (DPPN) dan dikelola oleh LPDP untuk pembiayaan studi lanjut pada program Magister atau program Doktoral di Perguruan Tinggi di dalam dan di luar negeri.

Beasiswa ini bertujuan untuk mendukung ketersediaan sumber daya manusia Indonesia yang berpendidikan dan berkualitas serta memiliki jiwa kepemimpinan yang tinggi dan mempunyai visi masa depan bangsa yang kuat sebagai pemimpin Indonesia masa depan. Komitmen LPDP tersebut diwujudkan melalui pemberian bantuan pendanaan dalam bentuk beasiswa kepada masyarakat untuk studi lanjut pada program Magister atau program Doktoral di Perguruan Tinggi unggulan baik di dalam maupun di luar negeri bagi yang memenuhi kualifikasi LPDP.

Sasaran pelamar BPI Program Magister dan Doktoral adalah Warga Negara Indonesia (WNI) yang mempunyai kemampuan akademik yang unggul dan jiwa kepemimpinan yang kuat serta berkeinginan untuk melaksanakan studi lanjut pada program Magister atau program Doktoral pada perguruan tinggi tujuan LPDP baik pada bidang ilmu yang sama maupun berbeda dengan bidang ilmu pada jenjang pendidikan sebelumnya.

Persyaratan Pendaftar
   
Persyaratan bagi pelamar BPI untuk program Magister atau program Doktoral dijabarkan dalam persyaratan umum dan persyaratan khusus berikut.
a.Warga Negara Indonesia (WNI);
 Telah menyelesaikan studi program sarjana atau program magister dari:
Perguruan Tinggi di dalam negeri yang telah terakreditasi oleh Badan Akreditasi Nasional Perguruan Tinggi (BAN-PT), atau
  • Perguruan Tinggi kedinasan dalam negeri, atau
  • Perguruan Tinggi di luar negeri yang telah terdaftar pada Direktorat Jenderal Pendidikan Tinggi, Kementerian Pendidikan dan Kebudayaan Republik Indonesia.
  • Memiliki karakter kepemimpinan, profesionalisme, nasionalisme, patriotisme, integritas, memiliki kepercayaan diri, kegigihan, kemandirian, kematangan dalam mengelola emosi, dan kemampuan beradaptasi;
  •  Berpartisipasi dalam kegiatan sosial kemasyarakatan / keilmuan / inovasi / kreasi / budaya;
  • Bersedia menandatangani surat pernyataan yang menyatakan bahwa pelamar
  • Bersedia kembali ke Indonesia setelah selesai studi;
  • Tidak sedang menerima/akan menerima beasiswa dari sumber lain;
  • Tidak terlibat dalam aktivitas/tindakan yang melanggar hukum, atau mengikuti organisasi yang bertentangan dengan ideologi Pancasila;
  • Tidak pernah/akan terlibat dalam aktivitas/tindakan yang melanggar kode etik Akademik
  • Selalu mengabdi untuk kepentingan bangsa Indonesia;
  • Selalu setia kepada Negara Kesatuan Republik Indonesia;
  • Sanggup memenuhi ketentuan beasiswa yang ditetapkan LPDP;
  • Menyampaikan data dan dokumen yang benar, sesuai dokumen asli serta bersedia menerima sanksi hukum yang berlaku apabila dokumen tersebut tidak sah.
  • Telah mendapatkan izin dari atasan bagi yang sedang bekerja;    
  • Surat keterangan berbadan sehat dan bebas narkoba (untuk semua pelamar tujuan dalam negeri serta luar negeri) dan untuk tujuan ke luar negeri ditambah dengan bebas TBC yang dinyatakan oleh dokter dari Rumah Sakit Pemerintah;
  • Telah mendapatkan rekomendasi dari tokoh masyarakat bagi yang belum/tidak sedang bekerja, atau rekomendasi dari atasan bagi yang sedang bekerja      
  • Memiliki dan memilih bidang keilmuan yang sesuai dengan bidang keilmuan yang menjadi sasaran LPDP      
  • Memilih program studi dan Perguruan Tinggi yang sesuai dengan ketentuan LPDP;      
  • Menulis essay (500 sampai 700 kata) dengan tema: “Kontribusiku Bagi Indonesia: kontribusi yang telah, sedang dan akan saya lakukan untuk masyarakat / lembaga / instansi / profesi komunitas saya” dan “Sukses Terbesar dalam Hidupku”;Apabila terdapat pemalsuan data atau dokumen maka pendaftar dinyatakan gugur dan tidak berhak mendaftar lagi di LPDP;
  • Menyerahkan Surat Kelakuan Baik/ Suat Keterangan Catatan Kepolisian (SKCK) yang dibawa pada waktu seleksi wawancara;

You must also complete a Weidenfeld-Hoffmann Scholarships Questionnaire (see Related documents on this page) and upload it, together with your graduate application form, by the deadline.
We will use the details you insert in the ‘Nationality and ordinary residence’ section of the graduate application form to assess your country of ordinary residence. Asian Graduate Student Fellowships 2017 (6 weeks In-residence)

Sarjanamuda.com -The Asia Research Institute (ARI) of the National University of Singapore (NUS) invites applications from citizens of Asian countries currently enrolled in a fulltime Master’s or PhD degree at a university in an Asian country (except Singapore) for consideration for the award of Asian Graduate Student Fellowships. Offered to graduate students working in the Humanities and Social Sciences on Southeast Asian topics, the fellowship will allow the recipients to be based at NUS for an ‘in residence fellowship’ for a period of six (6) weeks.

The aim of the fellowship is to enable scholars to make full use of the wide range of resources held in the libraries of NUS and the Institute of Southeast Asian Studies. Please note that the first two weeks of this fellowship are dedicated to an intensive course on English academic writing. As such this fellowship is specifically designed for students who might benefit from such a course.

 If you have already received training in this field or if you are a (near) native speaker you might wish to consider applying for the four-week long fellowship. The fellowship will commence on 18 June 2017, and scholars are expected to make a presentation of 8,000 words on their work at the “Singapore Graduate Forum on Southeast Asian Studies” to be organized at the end of July 2017

Successful candidates can expect the following benefits:

  1. A pro-rated monthly allowance based on SGD750.00 (inclusive of the portion to be paid towards your accommodation).
  2. A one-time round trip travel subsidy by the most economical and direct route (via budget airline if available) on a reimbursement basis upon being accepted for the fellowship.
  3. Access to library and computer resources on campus. You can look forward to excellent library and internet computer facilities at NUS’ main library (http://www.lib.nus.edu.sg/), the library at the Institute of Southeast Asian Studies (ISEAS) (https://www.iseas.edu.sg/library) and the Lee Kong Chian Reference Library at the National Library (http://www.nlb.gov.sg) to facilitate your research for the dissertation. NUS’ main library has 2 million volumes covering all topics while ISEAS’ library has 200,000 on Southeast Asian topics, half of which are in Southeast Asian languages.
  4. Exposure to seminars by various experts in the field.
  5. A mentor/advisor will be appointed based on candidate’s research topic.
  6. The Training Employment Pass and Visa will be arranged for by ARI.

APPLICATION PROCESS

Interested applicants are invited to e-mail:

  2. A 2-page outline of your research proposal in English (this may be accompanied by a longer statement in a Southeast Asian language). The 2-page research proposal must include the following details:
    a) whether the data collection or fieldwork stage of the research has already been completed;
    b) how the fellowship will contribute to the research;
    c) the types of sources to be consulted in Singapore;
    d) proposed work plan during the fellowship.
  3. Two letters of reference, one of which is from your principal thesis supervisor must be sent confidentially to the same e-mail address by the deadline of 30 December 2016. Since this is a fellowship specifically targeted at graduate students who might benefit from English academic language training, make sure one of your referees addresses how and why you would benefit from such a programme

CRITERIA

  1. Eligible candidates must have completed their fieldwork by the time the Fellowship starts in June 2017.
  2. Basic proficiency of the English Language.
